The Department congratulates our PhD candidate Koenraad Vos on the award of the James Loeb Fellowship 2021 at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte

The Fellowship was given in support of his research on “Fragments reassembled: the Museo Chiaramonti in the Vatican and the display of sculpture in early nineteenth-century Europe”.

The James Loeb Fellowship for the Classical Tradition in Art and Architecture commemorates James Loeb (1867 New York – 1933 München), graduate of Harvard University, initiator of the Loeb Classical Library project and art collector. The fellowship is sponsored by the James Loeb Gesellschaft e.V. and the Harvard Club München e.V.
